Educational Game Software

Ongoing

Educational game and game-mod development from concept to delivery.

Development Approach

We develop games and game modifications, from concept to delivery. For our current education clients, we have done this and have millions of downloads. Developing educational games or mods for existing games with an educational focus is a complex process that requires research and planning, given the target audience and educational concept.

Scitent Knowledge Assessment

Completed

Assessment delivery system migration to scalable cloud architecture.

Partnership & Architecture

We partnered with Scitent, a prominent eLearning company and built an innovative solution to migrate an existing assessment delivery system to a scalable cloud architecture. The existing infrastructure needed to be updated to enable scalability and flexibility to support their wide range of products and services. Our primary role was to design and implement a complex backend API, user interface requirements and migration infrastructure. While working with Scitent, we were key in adding staff positions to work as direct hires within the organization. We were directly responsible for training and managing this staff for the initial switch to the new technology stack.

Federal Contract Consultant - Manhattan Strategy Group

Completed

Subject matter expert for federal contract to host Department of Education websites and internal software products.

Federal Contract Leadership

While at ETS, our CTO and chief architect, Wendall Cada, was a primary author on the National Assessment for Educational Progress (NAEP) assessment delivery platform contract, which resulted in a $50M award to ETS over a 5-year contract cycle. Given his reputation and unique expertise, Manhattan Strategy Group approached us to act as a subject matter expert for a new federal contract to host the Department of Education Nation's Report Card and affiliated NCES websites and internal software products. Our initial engagement was to educate company leadership on the unique challenges of this federal contract. In the proposal authoring phase, we authored sections that posed significant technical challenges to the organization. As the primary reviewer of all contract language, we played a crucial role in ensuring it remained consistent with the proposal goals.
